DICKERSON, Margaret Pennington - Putnam

Mrs., Margaret Christina Dickerson, aged resident of Roachdale and Barnard died at the home of Mrs. Elisha Shirley at North Sales Sunday afternoon at 3:35 o’clock. The cause of her death was old age and complications. She was 88 years of age and was born in North Salem, the daughter of Preston and Susan Pennington and was married in 1856 to Franklin Butler and to this union was born one son John of North Salem who survives his other. After the death of her husband she was married to Floyd Dickerson in 1890. She is a member of the Roachdale Baptist Church and a pioneer woman of Hendricks and Putnam Counties.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren, five step children and a brother Worth Pennington of Roachdale. - kbz
